300 people come together to make giant 350 for International Day of Climate Change
Vegetarians, environmentalists, and performing artists come together at Hong Lim Park for International Day of Climate Change to spread most important number in the world.

In a press release to STOMP today (Oct 24), a Volunteer Coordinator from ECO Singapore said:

"Approximately 300 people from around Singapore gathered today at Hong Lim Park to create the number 350 as part of the largest globally coordinated action ever.

"The gathering at Hong Lim precedes day long activities, with climate change information and vegetarian food at SMU, before creating a a Human Tidal Wave at LASALLE College of the Arts.

"The day's activities are the result of collaboration between organisers ECO Singapore, Skinned Knee Productions, Vegetarian Society (Singapore), with the support of ACRES, and LASALLE College of the Arts.

"350 is the safe limit for Carbon in the air. We are rapidly approaching 400. The last time carbon was at that level, ocean levels rose by 25 metres plus. That means this entire CBD area could be underwater.

"I'd imagine that it would be pretty difficult to grow an economy that's underwater." said Amira Karim, of ECO Singapore."
